Rachel and Yanet’s friendship began in 2007, when they both arrived in the U.S. and met in 8th grade. From the moment Rachel saw her walk into the classroom, she knew Yanet would be her person. Over the years, they have celebrated milestones, supported one another through challenges, and created an unbreakable sisterhood. Yanet is Rachel’s “Primi” in every sense of the word, and standing by each other in their weddings is a full-circle moment Rachel will always treasure.

Josué’s friendship with Alejandro goes back to 2008, when he first arrived from Cuba. Alejandro and his family attended the same church that welcomed Josué, and that’s where their bond began. A funny memory Josué often shares is that Alejandro bought him his very first Whopper from Burger King—an experience that quickly became one of their earliest stories together in the U.S. Over the years, their friendship has grown through shared passions like music, cars, engineering, and their faith. Since 2020, their bond has deepened even more, maturing into the kind of brotherhood where they talk every day and share life’s biggest and smallest moments.

La amistad de Josué con Alejandro se remonta a 2008, cuando llegó de Cuba. Alejandro y su familia asistían a la misma iglesia que le dio la bienvenida a Josué, y allí comenzó su lazo. Un recuerdo gracioso que Josué siempre comparte es que Alejandro le compró su primera Whopper de Burger King—una experiencia que rápidamente se convirtió en una de sus primeras anécdotas juntos en EE. Josué and Anier’s friendship goes all the way back to elementary school in Cuba, when Anier joined fifth grade at Juan Lefont. What began as a simple bond over having the same bicycle quickly grew into a lifelong friendship that has lasted through distance, time, and every stage of life. Anier introduced Josué to “El Campo,” taking him to his family’s farm where they would climb trees and pick ciruelas—a memory Josué treasures deeply. What Josué admires most about Anier is his humility, calm spirit, and the way he has always been both a loyal friend and part of the family. Even now, with Anier living in Washington State, their connection remains strong, proving that true friendship endures no matter the miles.

La amistad de Josué y Anier se remonta a la primaria en Cuba, cuando Anier entró a quinto grado en la escuela Juan Lefont. Lo que empezó como una conexión por tener la misma bicicleta pronto se convirtió en una amistad de por vida que ha resistido la distancia, el tiempo y cada etapa de la vida. Josué and Alejandrito’s story goes back more than 20 years, to their childhood in Cuba. When Alejandrito and his family moved into Josué’s building, their mothers—Yuya, who is Josué’s godmother, and Josué’s mom—quickly formed a bond that turned into family. Growing up side by side, Josué and Alejandrito spent their childhood playing outside, spinning trompos, racing bicycles, and riding in carriolas. They celebrated birthdays together, went on trips, and created countless memories as part of the neighborhood kids. To this day, their friendship has spanned both Cuba and the United States, and Alejandrito remains not just a lifelong friend but true family.

La historia de Josué y Alejandrito se remonta a más de 20 años atrás, a su niñez en Cuba. Cuando Alejandrito y su familia se mudaron al edificio de Josué, sus mamás—Yuya, quien es la madrina de Josué, y la mamá de Josué—formaron un lazo que con el tiempo se convirtió en familia. Creciendo lado a lado, Josué y Alejandrito pasaron su infancia jugando afuera, girando trompos, corriendo en bicicletas y montando carriolas.
